We all have spiritual walls and sinning can punch holes in those walls. A small crack in the windscreen of your car can expand when under pressure and cause the whole thing to completely shatter in an instant; our spiritual walls are like this.
If you are putting a city under siege you would focus on the weakest point, that bulge in the wall where the defences are the weakest. This is what demons do. They have watched you and they know where they canโt touch you because your defences are too strong, and they also know where your weaknesses lie.
When demons decide to attack a person it is like an army laying siege to a city which stalks the perimeter of the wall looking for the easiest place to enter. They will not try and breach the wall of a Christian who is walking in the grace of God and abiding under the shadow of the Almighty but if they can tempt you to sin, holes and bulges will begin to appear in your wall and they have a point to focus their attacks. Once your wall comes crumbling down you have no protection against these forces and this leaves you vulnerable to demonic oppression and even possession.

In the book of Job it is written that Satan could not attack Job because God had built a hedge of protection around him (Job 1:10). It was only when that hedge of protection was taken away that Satan was able to oppress him killing his family members and stealing his wealth away. The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy but he is only allowed to do so if your spiritual walls have been breached. Repent of all sins and ask the LORD to repair the breach and rebuild your walls.
Trust with God is the same as trust with any person it takes time to rebuild and the walls of Jerusalem were not built in a day, neither will your walls be rebuilt in a day but as you grow in faith and trust to God your walls will be shored up, you will begin to notice that you are experiencing more peace on a day to day basis, you are suffering less with unexplained illnesses, and you are having more peaceful sleep.
